Trump signs order for TikTok

An Executive Order has been signed to block transactions with TikTok’s parent company ByteDance. By President Trump

He stated that the executive order states that the United States “must take strict measures against TikTok owners to protect our national security.”

And upon the signed request, within 45 days, US transaction with ByteDance will be banned. 

TikTok has denied the accusations and that the program is not controlled by the Chinese government or that the company is sharing data with it.

On Thursday evening, the US President also issued an Executive Order to follow-up with similar action to ban WeChat, an app owned by the Chinese-based tech giant Tencent.
